I don't think there's a problem if someone likes Quaritch and can reasonably explain his/her motivation. It's just that so far, those who have attempted to portray him in a positive light are either deliberately trolling, or are being complete f*cking idiots.

However my problem isn't with people being offended, it's with people who tell you you can't say something because it personally offends them.

While I am well aware the most vocal ridiculous members of a community get the most attention in many cases, one of the most irritating things is someone saying "oh I'm not censoring you, you can still say whatever you want, I'll just flip a **** and tell everyone you're garbage and bigoted so don't use the following words or make the following jokes kthx"

The flipside of being able to say what you want is everyone else being able to say what they want in response.

But it still becomes "don't say x" with the offended person being totally obnoxious/ deciding everything you say afterwards is trash as the deterrent. I see it happen all the time though it hasn't really happened to me so much. It's just as much extremist ignorance as fundamental religious groups and conspiracy theorists.
