Actually they do. They're called mutations. They happen all the time, but what mutations survive depend on whether they do any harm or not.

If stripes are beneficial to the Na’vi for blending in, than I don't see why spots/blotches/other marks wouldn't be. Jaguars are spotted cats that live in the jungle. Cheetahs are spotted cats that live on the savanna. Sand cats live in the desert, and they have black stripes. Irregular blotches and marks create "noise" that breaks up the body's outline, making a predator (or prey) difficult to notice.

I wouldn't assume too much about whether things like spots and blotches would be useful for hiding. After all, tigers blend in with the forest, and they're big, black and orange like walking warning signs, for god's sakes.

And if the people here want to speculate about appearances for appearance's sake, there's no reason they can't do that. Just because the film tried to stay true to scientific possibility doesn't mean their right to be imaginative has been revoked.
