The Training of a Tsahik

Something I've been pondering for a while and wondering if it will be explained in any sequel - how exactly does a clan's tsahik get trained for the role? What sorts of things did Mo'at have to do in order to be prepared for her position, and what must Neytiri do in order to be ready when it's her time to take over? I don't know if this written down anywhere but still I'm curious.

Perhaps a better question to ask would be if there are any specific indigenous peoples on Earth with shamanic traditions who directly inspired this aspect of the Na'vi, and how their spiritual leaders get trained.
