In most forms of Buddhism though, the idea of God is real. Buddha is a God. A supernatural being. In fact, one of the worlds of being you could be reincarnated into is the world of God's or Titans. Though the supreme God is the Buddha.

One of the forms of Buddha is the Universe, so it makes sense.

I took the position of "I am Groot". If you wan't, you can still defend being Batman.

Are we just deciding the entire topic is childish or something?

This thread seems to be a combination of genuine discussion, ridiculous posts, and reactions to the ridiculous posts...

I offered to clean it up but oh well, activity's activity.

This is one of those things that you can't prove or disprove, hopefully the aysawtute will learn to treat each other and the world around them with respect, sadly it looks like that may never happen, but we must keep trying no matter how dark things look.

I agree with Wind12. You cannot prove or disprove the existence of a deity, thusly the most logical religious position is Agnotiscism but that is by itself the admittance of uncertainty and it contains no teachings or moral values beyond the acceptance of fact.

In my opinion one should hold a religious belief based on what the religion itself can offer. There are religions for example that hold nature very sacred. Such as the Ancient Greek religion for example (with which, being Greek myself, I have a certain familiarity ). What it should come down to is that a religion must be chosen by an individual for that individual. What agrees with you the most, which religion you think has the most to offer to you and with which religion you think you can reach spiritual completion. Because in the end, religion is about the soul.

Exactly this, if there is a God, and you were talking directly with it, you would never be able to tell if it is a God, or an extremely clever magician.

If by terrorists you mean ISIS, well they actually target and kill Muslims in middle eastern countries much more so than western countries, and it's very unlikely terrorists will 'get' you in Poland, rather a fear monger isn't response from your government 'getting' you is much more likely.

If by terrorists you mean Russia, I can't say, I don't know what they'll do.

Don't forget about the Coptic Christians they've been executing as well.

Oh I know they execute Christians too, just sick of hearing it as a Muslims vs Christians thing, when it's really just extremists vs regular people.

Yeah, I agree. I really think your religion doesn't matter to them, they just want you dead.
Ugh.
