Open for discussion, as I'm wondering how this makes others feel. I think for me the best phrase I can call to mind to describe my mixed feelings ... is 'shock and awe' :/ I'm both stunned by the magnificent of our feats of human technology, as I am overwhelmed by sheer volume of comprehension of the scale of the size of things. I want to cry and weep yet applaud at the same time. I want every human being on earth to have to watch this, in hopes perhaps it could lead to end of wars and ignorance, because in my opinion it is a show that shows us the best of us in harmony with technology and science.
On Netflix right now. Generation Earth! A 3 episode documentary. Both Fascinating and Startling to watch! One of the things it says is that if we were to put all the people and cities in the world side by side, it would 'only' take up 1/2 the size of Australia. BBC - New BBC One documentary series charts how humans have transformed planet Earth - Media centre Clerical Edit: The version on Netflix has been edited to edit out the guy in the original BBC version (link below). Which I find to make the documentary more effective, since it changes the focus more to the rapid shaping world changes that engineering has brought about. "Its only 'here' that we lose perspective, out at the Cosmic Consciousness Level things get a lot clearer. For example, there is an actual star pattern that is traced in the shape of a Willow Tree, across the breadth of the Milky Way! And no wonder Indigenous peoples refer to the 'here after' as the Happy Hunting Grounds! Has it ever occured to anyone why the bioluminescence dots, on the Na'vi!"
