I simply would like to share news of a very creative indie game created by the Inuit people with direct involvement from
there elders. "Never alone or "Kisima Inŋitchuŋa in the Iņupiat language" takes the player or players along for the story and allows them to walk in the young girl "Kunuuksaayuka" shoes , the game also offers deep insights from there elders in the form of video examples relating to how there people core "see" and are interconnected to with world around them and each other. Fans of Avatar will likely find strong root references that are deeply insightful and reflective on a number of levels the only negative would be while the story is strong the platform puzzle game play lacks the polish of what people are used to playing the global reaction to this creative project has been very strong and supportive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLmli2pvdGk#t=11 |

I have worked my way through the game and really like how the player is incorporated into the story ,they have updated the game to address some pathing logic issues when trying to play as one player where the other charter, (there is a girl and a fox) would have difficulty follwing without the player having to micromanage both by switching back and fourth so the other would not blunder into things that would cause there death.
The cultural insights are very well done and spoken from the heart upon the roots of how there culture sees the world , a very unique way to share a story and at times quite emotional. Last edited by allroock123; 03-15-2015 at 02:05 AM. |

That's cool, probably a great way of showing people abstract concepts, and I like the idea of a fox following the main character everywhere
very pokemon.

By creating an interactive venue , the player becomes a part of the story and by blending in the shared cultural insights created by elders and people living day to day in there community it helps people see a much bigger picture and understand how the Inuit peoples "see" there relations to the world, in short like Avatar (which is a Mirror Story at its core) it helps people "core connect " to the relationship circles there people share with the natural world around them and as a living community "See the world through a different pair of eyes."
I will also tell everyone they do plan to create more games that embody and share there story's Last edited by allroock123; 05-18-2015 at 03:32 PM. |
