Up is the only movie I can think of off hand, but I know there are more (not Avatar though). I've also cried in soe Doctor Who episodes (The Girl in the Fireplace) and the end of Lost. And when Chef died in South Park.

They've brought me close, but never actually made me cry. Same with Firefly/Serenity.

I was on the brink with Serenity, and it was an awesome movie too

Serenity made me cry too. And Blood + in a happy sad way though.

Apart from Avatar, I had tears in my eyes at certain scenes in:
  • The Dark Crystal
  • Princess Mononoke
  • several episodes of Earth Girl Arjuna
  • When the Wind Blows

Interesting... all of them animated ones... but each with a profound message, too.

Wiggling bare toes,

Has ANYONE seen "Synecdoche, New York" ??
Most depressing movie ever. But it has so many messages and meanings within it.
