Honestly, I think the time is not a problem for James Cameron.

i would probz agree with this, if he were in his 40s or 50s, but that amazing creative genius is in his 60s and i really want for him to finish his Avatar story before he returns his energy to the universe. i also hope he is one of those rare dudes that lives to be in his 90s or 100s, sadly most men today in the industrialized west, especially America with it's awful diet, don't make it to 70. c'mon JC, lets get this show on the road... *don't make me wait since 2005 for Half Life 3*

JC is a juggernaught and he def. Doesnt have the diet of most Americans, so hopefully he will be with us for a long time to come, the thing though is at some point he may want to retire, everytime I hear him speak though he seems to be very confident in the sequels . But as we have seen with the tragic event that took James Horner, tomorrow is never guaranteed, all we can do is keep the Avatar torch lit, and have faith that this ride is going to come and be an amazing continuation of the journey that we have started on.

I too worry about time and mortality. It's very easy to run out of time. Just look at the accidental deaths of James Horner or even Anton Yelchin. Young age does not provide safety from death. It can come at any time and it will come after us all. It is the one thing that no one can escape. Since I've fallen perpetually ill with continually declining health I've often wondered if I'll even be alive to see any of the sequels and if I'm not what I'll miss

Directors have a strong incentive to keep up their reputation. If he has any intention of making these sequels, he is selling them every time someone asks for an interview. I'm not saying that means they won't happen, just that it doesn't inspire the confidence in me it once did. Still, I feel like that's okay. He is trying his best with what he has. If there are more, I'll be happy to see them. If not, he got his idea out there with Avatar. Someone else could always take over, and that doesn't mean it will go in a bad direction.
