i read somewhere that JC is not too keen on the idea of competing with the Star Wars crowd and is basically waiting til 2020 to screen the first of the sequels, as both SW Episodes 8 and 9 will be out of theaters by then. geez.

if you want to see how big the SW impact is, just look at Passengers trying to compete with Rogue One. no contest and so not fair. the $110 million budget Passengers is a beautiful film, amazing sets and visuals, one of a kind starship, great script and story, beautiful acting by both lead actors, but it couldn't stand up to the rabid fanboys of SW. because i believe Disney paid off most of the mainstream 'critic/reviewers' to trash Passengers (Sony-Columbia) so there would be no competition to their precious SWRO, i refuse to watch it at the theater. i have seen Passengers twice now and it is even better the second time. i think JC is hedging his bets against SW and getting his other projects done before heading back to Pandora.

we shall see...
