The term "Avatar" takes on a number of layers of meaning ,, both in the refection of science and religion and spirituality viewpoints, the relation to the computer terminology "Avatar" as the film storyline employs advanced technology that "Enables" a person to reflect there conscious and "drive" an Avatar body ,, letting one walk in another's shoes , in indigenous traditions and shamanism such a person would probably be recognized as a "skinwalker" as well as connections to the religious in what might be considered in India as an enlightened "Avatar Being" , many of whom are sometimes pictured as having blue skin ,, the film builds bridges speaks from and shares deep common recognized "bonds" across many cultural religious and spiritual ethos viewpoints and its likely that people around our world will core connect with them on some inner memory level ,, I here story's around our world that often say "Avatar reminds me of" etc to me its amazing from a source perspective how deep Avatars "source code" is able to reflect upon the common bonds inside the root of our humanity and build bridges of understanding this also seems particularly true for those in the autisum spectrum , like those with Asperger's who are able to "see" on levels that many find hard to touch on . The film seems to point to a common unifying bond running under all the upper layers of human "programing" to awaken the perception of seeing through the heart,, Other filmmakers seem to have found this root value expression in reflective story's that touch on this as well like the "act of putting back the "heart" in Disney's Moana (would love to share but to do so would be a major spoiler for those who have not seen that film) for those with an intrest in real world cultural history take a look at "Haudenosaunee and the "handsome lake code" as to how that impacted there people.. again a bridge betwean religious and spiritual ethos viewpoints , thank you all
