Hi Jackal_moi. Not sure you got my message on deviantart but no sorry these models cant be downloaded. All the images are downloadable on deviantart tho, without a watermark and often in very high resolution.

And a big update on this short 3D animation. Last year when i started rendering i couldnt find a middle ground between a quick render and keeping the quality high enough. So the images came out flat and i really wasnt happy with it.

So this time i am using renderlayers and composit those into the final images for the animation. Takes a little longer because i have to render all the different layers but at the same quality as earlier it looks so much better! Still taking months tho...

A frame of my animation showing the all different layers (background excluding) that when combined make the image (like color, spec, zdepth, AO and shadow).

Very good. But seeing the difference between combined picture and regular render would be great. Can't comment beyond that, never tried to do any composing, I just change shader or lighting values if i don't like something the way it looks.

wow thanks a lot Glad you liked it, i enjoyed making it. Really learned a lot from it aswell. Making a complete short film and including stuff like backgrounds, camera angles, audio, compositing, managing stuff. That was all pretty new to me and certainly a struggle now and then. But i look forward doing more of it! And yeah Avatar could use some promoting. The new movies are still so far away. If i helped out a tiny bit, well, mission accomplished

Amazing work Fierfox. Like J’ak said, that was a great to watch and be on Pandora again. It was like a teaser for the sequels in a way. I’m sure it will blow you mind if that is how the sequels lead in to the follow on story! Irayo nìtxan ulte Eywa ngahu

i've been keeping an Avatar movie thread alive on the fanforum.com website, where i've been active since AF went off the air, and recently got promoted to Moderator for the Jennifer Lawrence movie forum section. anyway, i posted your Avatar fanfilm there as a youtube item on the thread, and want to say thanks again for your Avatar promotion! the views for the Avatar topic skyrocketed after posting your video!!! maybe we can bring in some new fans for the sequels and ToS.

Yeah! Also, big thanks for promoting my video Didn't know that forum excised. One fan forum for all movies, it must be massive. And congrats with your moderator promotion!

Hi, I am an architecture student currently working on my final year thesis, which intends to design Architecture based on a story world. To convey this, I’ve chosen the world of Pandora from James Cameron’s Avatar to design a Settlement to rehabilitate the Na’vi post the destruction in the 2009 movie. The challenge is to imagine myself as an architect of their world and build for the Na'vi.

I'm trying to go through the fandom wiki, books, comics and games but I'm not sure if I'll be able to give each one of them the time and attention they deserve because of deadlines.
I'm stuck at a point where I sorely like a site map and model for the home tree. If someone has access to any such renders, or if you could help contact concept art creators who may have similar works, my entire problem would be solved. Ofcourse, I'll provide credit for others' work after they permit me to use it, with appropriate links/references. Thanks!
