So I randomly discovered that there was an avatar prototype/test scene developed in 2006 as part of the pitch to fox.

Interesting stuff and would like to see it someday. Also anyone think Jake looks more like an alien than neytiri?

Honestly I quite like these prototypes.

You can find it in the documentary that's on the special features disc in the collector's edition. I've only seen it once, but it was a very interesting find. I used to watch Lost and always enjoyed Yunjin Kim's performances on that show, so it was cool for me to see her as Neytiri for a brief moment. (Though of course that role is wholly and rightfully Zoë Saldana's now.)
