Default Cancellation of 2 sequels

In an interview with the website GeekNews on March 29, James Cameron retracted his announcements about the four other sequels of the 2009 movie Avatar. He reduced this number to two, making Avatar 2 and 3 the only sequels.

that site is not a good source for Avatar news, seen bad reviews and somewhat dubious opinions from them before.
