Blade Runner rocks! My fave movie since i was 13 in the mid-90's. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Akira and Ghost in The Shell, 2 awesome animated Sci-fi movies.

Here is my list of favorites:
Avatar The Original Star Wars Trilogy Inception District 9 The Abyss Terminator 2 &3 (I haven't seen the 1st one) The Matrix Dr. Strangelove (I'm not sure if its quite entirely sci-fi but it has some similar themes) Independence Day 2001: Space Odyssey (beautifully done movie...just dragged in some places) Back to the Future Blade Runner E.T. That's all I can think of right now.

1) Avatar CE, of course. i love this film experience dearly, more please! 2) The Matrix (1999), and both Reloaded, Revolutions. love the trilogy, more please! 3) Interstellar (2014), this film is insanely great! 4) Aliens (1986) Colonial Marines kick ass! 5) Star Wars: A New Hope (1997 Special Edition) yups, i'm one of them! 6) The Empire Strikes Back (1997 Special Edition) 7) Return of the Jedi (1997 Special Edition) Blinking Ewoks rule!!! 8) The Abyss (1989) love James Cameron and his films! 9) The Terminator (1984) the one that started it all! 10) Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) the Die Hard of sci-fi. awesome!!! a lot more than those also, may be adding this one to my top 10. check it out...  over 7,306, 355 views in just over 24 hours. that's insane!
