The rest of the humans won't necessarily have to integrate, they can continue life on hellsgate just fine if they want to.
The avatar team should really ask the tribe/eyva for that permanent transfer though:

Norm and Max have no Avatar body to transfer to, they and others are dependent on the life support machinery in hellsgate for the rest of their lives.
All of it, the gas masks, air locks, pipes, pumps and sealings will slowly wear down in the next decades.
With a limited supply of spare parts, it's probably smart to permanently transfer as much humans as possible, so that the remaining ones like Norm and Max can live long enough to eventually figure out how to grow new Avatar bodies.

Me too, but switching to a superior alien body doesn't mean that I'll have to live without a toothbrush and toilet paper because of it So I'd switch bodies in an instant.
