The AvatarMeet planning team is able to announce that we have secured the meet up accommodation.

Following the results of the clan survey on the choice between having a rented house and hotel the votes were split 9 votes to 11 in favour of a hotel. With the vote being close the planning team explored both rental house and hotel accommodations. In total, eight hotels and two rental house complexes were reviewed. The team checked out each location's website and reviews.

In the end the decision was made to go with the Comfort Inn Maingate hotel near Kissimmee. There were a number of factors that lead to this choice, including cost, location, facilities and convenience to local amenities. We feel we have made the best balance we could and the room rate will be less than it was last year, at $94 per night including tax.

Each room has two queen beds, microwave and fridge. A hot breakfast is also included as well as free wi-fi and free parking. The hotel is located less than two miles from Animal Kingdom and has numerous eating establishments within walking distance as well as other familiar stores.
