I'm wondering if anyone who has actually worked on Avatar is part of these boards? For various reasons, including, possibly, verifying WHAT the picture is below and where it came from.

I've searching all over the internet and cannot find ANYTHING. I came across it under a (crappy, obviously unofficial) Avatar 2 FB page, and the admin didn't answer where they found this, who made it, etc. It's probably not official, but it bothers me I cannot find out where it came from.

Also I'm REALLY surprised no one is chatting about the new animals at Pandora... a google search on the new animals reveals nothing except my own dA journal on the subject

Actually, I stand corrected. Slightly:

The picture is also found here, but it's not stated at all where it came from, who released it (there is no watermark) nor even implied beyond being there that it's official.

Found the original on artstation, the logo had been added and the watermark cropped out, very naughty.

It was posted 3 years ago so it might just be a fan design or early concept work but usually that's under NDAs until release.

Wow, HOW did you find that picture? I even google-pictured searche3d it, and it didn't come up. Did you look up Avatar concept / fan art?

Anyway, for sure we're going to see the new creatures in the second movie

I used the option to search via the image itself. Wasn't on the first page though but I found a link that lead to artstation and it was very easy from there.
