Argh. When they said that the Vancouver meet was going to be in late summer, I was hoping that meant in August. Having it in mid-September complicates things as my kids are back to school so I can't just ship them off to their grandparents for a week, plus that's right in the middle of our busy season. If only I could send my Avatar to Vancouver and drive it from Toronto. We've been trying to attend a meetup for years and every year there's some kind of complication that prevented us from going. We were so jealous the year that the meetup went to Lightstorm.

Also, I'm very curious about the details for the Cologne meetup that say they will have a private screening of a 3 hour and 50 minute 4K version of Avatar. Does anyone have any details on this? Does that mean that Lightstorm finished rendering the deleted scenes and cut them into the film? Hopefully the Vancouver meetup will get to screen it as well.

I'd like to know that too.
I live in Germany and it would be awesome, to attend the meetup in order to watch this film in 4k. However, there is no pricetag. Whats the cost of it?
And again, whats this 4k thing with Avatar? Official or not?

That's all we have, I think.
The only change is that they apparently found a hotel for the Cologne meetup, but it's like 230 euros per person for 5 days and you'll have to share a king bed with someone.
