Post Avatar as "The Godfather"? (According to JC)
Hey guys; y'all know me. Thought I'd return briefly to get y'all's take on Cameron's semi-recent declaration about how the Avatar sequels will greatly resemble the "family-saga"-like storytelling of "The Godfather".

I understand what he says in the article; looks interesting. However, seeing as we're all probably at least somewhat familiar with the way The Godfather series ends up, does this mean we'll get a similar storyline with Jake? As in, Jake resembling Michael Corleone? Michael, in the first film, is pretty much a good guy. Upstanding guy who does the right thing.

Could the Avatar sequels, in addition to what Cameron has described in the article, also be a power-holder saga about the slow downfall of Jake's new rule into something of a totalitarian dynasty? Or, if not this, Jake becoming corrupt?

Thoughts are appreciated.

I believe the comparison between the two films is more so about Avatar 2 being a family arc centered film - not so much about a corruption/downfall of characters and family tragedy - but I'm not against that idea at all. Would make for an interesting twist.
