Delayed to 2021

^This time, it appears this'll be the final delay. Filming is already wrapped for the first two sequels, and the character and creature renderings are finished. All they're doing now for the first two sequels (to my knowledge) is editing, vfx work for non-character-related sequences, and render polishing. These things take an insane amount of time to do, even with a small army of vfx artists (like with the first film).

the house of mouse owns everything now, so they will be releasing each of the sequels in a slot with no competition from any of their other properties like Marvel, dis.mouse wars, and any other stuff they have gobbled up. i may never get to see all the sequels at this rate, ugh.

Well, with Star Wars & Avengers pretty much done, It's all opened for Avatar now...

And there is an Avatar game teased my Massive Entertaiment, let's not forget it.
It's probably gonna come out after the first movie's release.

Oh, and it was said, in the 10 year celebration video, BY JC that they have just finished the physical "shooting". Now it's on the CG personnel to do the magic.

It has been a long wait but now the sequels are well under way and JC himself said they are on track for the release dates, so get ready!!!!!!!!

Disney confirmed the 2021 Avatar sequel when they made the announcements of Black Panther 2, Cap Marvel 2, the disney+ tv shows, and FOX as a standalone unit for producing films not necessarily family-friendly.

Well technically the delay is a bit shorter, since it was announced at the end of July, so that's something. I just want to get there, I didn't think that was too much to ask, but maybe it was :/

sadly, i believe 2022 is only a tentative delay date, it will probably be more 2023 because Marvel MCU films are much the priority of the mouse house and they are all super delayed except for BW and Eternals. Weta has been super mysterious about it's delay reschedules and bankrupt effects contractors in the USA.
