Hello!
Several years ago i started here on the forum working on a Neytiri figure to match my Hot Toys Jake 1/6 scale figure. Think i got pretty far however she was a bit fragile and everything was quite expensive back then. Also had some setbacks (a figure got stolen, etc) and the project sort of fizzled out. But it would be nice to not only have the start of that project here but also a bit more of a happy ending! And thats where this thread comes in. About two years ago i started making BJD's (ball jointed dolls hold together by string). With the old Neytiri model as a reference (and all the high quality images here) i recently started making a new one. Made a 3D model (NSFW) in Zbrush and started printing (on a CR-10). All the parts are now out of the printer (still rough and unsanded) and assembled (with temporary clothes, eyes and wig): ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Currently testing all the joints in different poses to see how everything is holding up while printing improvements and accessories. Here she is with her bow: ![]() The faces, hands and feet are connected by magnets so its easy to switch between them. ![]() Hope to soon start sanding and cleaning up all the parts (and have more suitable clothes commissioned). Wow Fierox it is so great to see you back on with an update. I thought this project was long lost to the sands of time. I'm really excited to watch this project come to completion this time, and still have hopes of one day getting a Neytiri from you. Always loved that she matched your digital art style that you created as well. I love the magnet idea for easily swapable faces too!

Thanks so much! Yeah the little magnets are great. Very easy to switch between faces for different poses and emotes. Same with the hands and feet (plus removing those is also handy when changing her outfit).
And well thx alot for the interest! If you want one, well this time its a far more user friendly figure (but not a toy either) then my previous attempt. Keep an eye on the project and stay in contact? Here she is wearing a different outfit with her bow and dagger.

Sorry for the slow reply, with all thats going on in the world currently it's been hard to be motivated to post anything Avatar these last few days.

Another update after a round of sanding, a coat of primer and new eyes. Trying out posing with a few of the different faceplates

Thx! Yeah the faceplates are alot of fun to work on. Sometimes its really interesting how things turn out when they are printed and eyes are added. Might still tweak some a bit before i print them in resin.
![]() New wig, wrong color although it looks pretty good next to the blue skin
