Awesome! I have a 5.1 setup in my room too. Avatar's audio track on Blu Ray is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 so it's perfect! Does you're receiver decode the lossless audio formats?

BTW: What size is that TV?

Actually, I don't know... It's not a digital amp, but rather an analog one

102 cm

That would be 40". Nice!

40" is a great TV size.

I might be able to get a HDTV soon, but not before the release.

Not only would returning the TV save me lots of money, I would also have the option of seeing an image much bigger than 63 inches.

So after a bit of thinking, I purchased a new projector. Replacing my TV is the Optoma HD20 DLP projector. Avatar Blu-ray/DVD and OST are for size comparison:

And of course, what is a projector without a screen to project an image onto - I went as big as room allowed and got a 150 inch projection screen:

Here are some pictures I took with a cheap camera while watching Avatar. Images may appear dark and fuzzy, but that is due to the camera. The image looks much more impressive in person.

If you have the room for an 80 inch or bigger screen, I highly recommend getting this projector. The two items can cost about the same as most 40 inch or above LCD/Plasma TVs.

Wow, this looks epic. I just stopped my plans for plasma TV few weeks ago. So I will have hard thinking about the new setup in the future. Projector is one of the good options. My another idea is two projectors with polarizers to do 3D .

What about the colors, are they good in comparison to Plasma TVs? (I think that plasma technology has in general best color balance)

The colors given from this projector are outstanding given the size of the image. If I had to judge the color accuracy, I would give it a 95%, whereas the plasma is 100%. It is nearly impossible for a projector to match the colors of a plasma if you're only looking at spending under $2,000, however, you can still expect a lot from a projector for just under $1,000.

I highly recommend getting a projector instead of a TV if you have a room for a large screen and a light-controlled area. I returned my TV with absolutely no regrets.

Here's mine:

47" Panasonic (HD obviously).

This image shows a blu-ray player, amplifier, SKY + HD.

There's five of these around the room.

There's two of these, one of each side of the TV. Second one is hidden.

Here is mine setup, well it's obviously more PC with 24 full hd screen than film center...

And this is the best set

I've got a 72" HDTV (DLP), I'll take some pictures when I get home.

^^ woah thats a big TV! How big is it?

and here's what I've got for now... just a small plasma, my Blue-Ray player, and my DJ amp and speakers...

First Home Viewing

Second Home Viewing

We have a bigger TV in the den, but I don't want to watch it there till everyone leaves for like 3 or 4 hours for the night so there won't be any distractions
