April 13:
Domestic: $743,688,973 27.5% + Foreign: $1,965,000,000 72.5% = Worldwide: $2,708,688,973 April 20: Domestic: $745,119,191 27.5% + Foreign: $1,974,000,000 72.5% = Worldwide: $2,712,219,191 Weekly income: Domestic: $1,430,218 13% + Foreign: $9,000,000 87% = Worldwide: $10,430,218 With Avatar's re-release in roughly 57 iMAX theaters across the US over the weekend, Avatar's earnings shot up 50.3% from last weekend, and it is continuing to make more money as the week rolls along. On Monday and Tuesday alone (Mar 19-20) Avatar has had a 37.4% increase from last week thanks to the added number of theaters it received - which proves my earlier post. Avatar is still in high demand, it just doesn't have the theaters screens. Avatar has a better chance of reaching $3b now that theaters are taking Avatar back in as other movies begin to fall out (Shutter Island, Alice in Wonderland, etc), and an even better chance of hitting $3b considering James Cameron has plans on re-releasing Avatar sometime in August: James Cameron: The 'Avatar' sequel will dive into the oceans of Pandora | Hero Complex | Los Angeles Times Quote:
