I don't understand why people do this. We're harmless and we aren't bothering anyone -- there's a reason we have our own forum, instead of running rampant over someone else's -- and we're hardly doing anything to justify that kind of malicious attention. Some people really need to grow up...

Many (most?) people are so miserable that they cannot deal with seeing other people happy over something, so they must try to tear it down. It is their loss.

Indeed. Some just don't seem to get Avatar, though -- without fail, whenever I've brought up Avatar to classmates and friends at school, their comments have ranged from "its plot sucks"/"its plot was ripped off" and "you only watch Avatar for the special effects" to "you actually paid money to watch that movie?".
