Default The new reference title

I suppose this is not a surprise, but it is still shocking to see. This is the most amazing video and sound transfer ever done for a blu-ray release. On my (admittedly very good) home theater sound setup, it easily matches the quality of my normal theaters, and is IMAX level quality, if not at that volume level The picture is far beyond anything seen in the theaters.

This will be the showoff disc of choice for home theater owners for a very long time to come.

This is true.

The picture quality of Avatar on Blu Ray is phenomenal. Absolutely incredible. The amount of detail you can see on the blu-ray is amazing.

Also the audio on the blu ray disc is beyond words. It is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 Surround Sound after all, which is lossless and makes the entire movie shine. My system is very good and I was loved the audio.

Like you said, Avatar is THE new reference title among blu-ray discs.

The Avatar OST itself is great for testing audio. I have auditioned a few speakers with it. You should have seen the faces I got when I turned the volume up.

Can't wait to see how well Avatar on Blu-ray performs in my very own home.

I honestly think you have a point here! I can imagine walking into stores with them all playing Avatar to show off how good the tv is

I would not be surprised if they did do that.

anyway! you buy the blu-ray and get the DVD, so why buy the dvd only!
i watched it at a friend house with a full theater system, at some point me and my friend where only looking at some precise details instead of following the action/movie going
just fantastic

My setup is a single 36"-ish cathode ray thing.
I might be getting a HDTV soon though.
