That's probably the case. The phrase "climate change" seems to have become rather popular recently in the colloquial sense. I never really cared for the term "global warming" because it is a bit misleading and can cause distraction from the topic.

Just a note as to the timing of "climate change". I started studying for a masters degree in 2001, a component of that was climate science. It was taught to us as "climate change" not global warming.
Now that was as a part of the scientific community, I cannot attest to when it came into common usage however. |
