Default IMVU Ads?

Ok, so browsing Youtube lately, I started to see these "IMVU" Ads, with pictures of Na'vi on the front. Two Na'vi holding each other! So naturally, I was intrigued, and researched. Naturally, I couldn't seem to find any relevent information. So could any of you shed some light on this for me?

IIRC, it's kind of like a simple version of Second Life, with lots of opportunities to give them moar money. I don't see ads on most sites myself, but I guess they're trying to cash on on Avatar by showing you can make your character look like a Na'vi

I think there was a thread regarding Second life at AF but i didn't find it.

btw, to me those ads are irritating. All they want to do is make out a bunch of money.

I find them more on the disgusting side than irritating. Tbh, I think bad merchandising off of a great thing makes the image of the whole picture a bit... unreliable. You know what I'm saying? You believed in it, you loved it, and it's in your heart. When you flip through channels in the following hour and you see ads on merchandise related to the movie! You can't help but say,"Aw great! There doing this **** now".

I loved Jurassic Park when it was released into theaters, I was in a wonderland of forest and raptors who ate my leftovers (grr). Than McDonalds promoted an ad-campaign for happy meals with J Park toys and cups with them. I just got upset for some reason!

My hate is poison, purify me Ewya. I'm most sorry.

Offtopic: Argh, why do I ALWAYS misread thread titles? Though I could have guessed nobody would make a thread about IMVU aids...

Ontopic: IMVU contains trojans. Do not want.

I actually tried out the IMVU (in a Virtual Machine - Me no want trojan) thing, you can't even create characters like that in it. Its false advertising too.

Try looking for bookmarks like "Pandora" or "Na'vi".
Usualy Na'vi appearance themes require payment. There are some free demos too.
