Went to my local BestBuy store to check out some of their digital projectors and found they still had their 3D TV set up. The thing that really surprised me was it was playing Avatar ... in 3D.
It was the real deal - I was watching Avatar in 3D. The image was as clear and sharp as you could expect from watching it in 2D on Blu-ray. The 3D really stood out and was more apparent than it was at the theater (this was probably due to the brightness of the TV).
From what I understand, as long as you have a 3D compatible TV, all you need are shutter glasses, a 3D Blu-ray player, and any Blu-ray disk, then you're set to go.
I guess I know what I'm buying next once I get the money.
