Hear, hear!

Whatever happens between two consenting individuals is their business. I wouldn't even call it a deviance, really (since deviance seems to carry a negative connotation)...more like a fetish.

Remember, being a furry do NOT have to mean sexual intercourse - it is an attraction, but it does not have to be manifested.

It's just like you don't have to have sex with men if you are a male homosexual - it's enough if you just feels attraction towards men.

Well, what I really think about them... I used to know one on the internet.

If they keep it between actual humans, there isn't really a problem. Some furries are just furries for other reasons though. Also, personally, DO NOT WANT anything to do with them at all. It's just creepy being attracted to animals.

It's not necessarily that they are attracted to animals, they are generally attracted to anthropomorphic beings - there is a difference between the two.

Furries are not zoophiles, that is a completely different thing.

And Na'vi are not antropomorphic.

This. I know many furries and have chatted with them on a furry forum. I'm not active in any furry community, but lets say I understand how they feel. Label me as whatever you want but I don't think anyone deserves to be driven over by a train. To me furries are like any other people and to be honest, sometimes even better. I don't know is it because of the hate towards them, but most of them are more friendly, open, have no problem with other sexual minorities, and generally hate less. Please, do not hate furries just because they See something you don't.

Some people probably hate everyone in here because many of us think Na'vi are attractive. That's just how people are.

Of course not. Im sorry if you got the impression that I belive this, wich i absolutely don't! I've chatted with some furries, and have actually done some furry art way back, so i know that most of them are really nice people!

Well as far as I have gotten in my research on the subject, I don't think it has anything to do with "normal" animals. Then again humans are also animals, but that's why I said "normal" animals, as it's often said when refered to regular animals, and humans are not included in that category, because we are not "normal" animals.

I guess it comes down to how one wants to define the meaning of the word animal. But like I said, furry doesn't involve "normal" animals as far as I know, but rather ones like humans, but in different appearance shall we say.

But the word furry itself is rather impossible to define, because I have spent much time trying to figure it out, but I'm getting nowhere. Mainly that's due to the lack of proper information, and people having different opinions and all that jazz. So I'd rather not associate the word with any particular behaviour, because it's so vague term to begin with.

If I get any more insight or inspiration on the subject, I'll be sure to post more here, but for now, this is all that I can come up with on such short notice.

It has NOTHING at all to do with normal animals.

A furry is NOT a zoophile.

I was part of the fandom until some weeks ago, I did some art myself and even though I am not part of it anymore I still draw some of my anthro characters (this is my latest). The people was nice and all and I met some furries in Madrid and all.

But man, the darkest parts of the fandom are seriously sexually disturbing. One of the main reasons why I left (and also because Avatar pr0n began to spread at the front page of Furaffinity). I just decided to not go there anymore, although I still have three or four worthy contacts.

I never felt sexually attracted to animals or whatsoever. Just had fun drawing werewolves and all, and admired some good artists.

Wow, what an intelligent meme.

I have no problem with furries, if that's what they want to do, more power to 'em! It's none of my business. They're not letting social norms get them down, I respect that.

You know those WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?) bracelets? I'm thinking about making WGAS (Who Gives A S***) bracelets. It'll be a little reminder to just mind your own business.

I will admit to laughing at the expense of furries (99% of people on the chans can...), and some really do bring it on themselves.
That said, I do understand not all of them are like the stereotype, and that some do just like anthropomorphism. I think they're weird even for that personally, but not my place to judge if they enjoy it.

Its like us... I'm attracted to Neytiri, she has some animal features (tail, cat-like ears, stripes) but she has pretty much all human attributes. I do not like animals like that (stupid internet article). Furries are attracted to something different just like I am, and some of you are. They aren't doing anything wrong. I have no problem with them at all
