If 2 separate groups of kids one Human and the other Na'vi end up stranded on separate desert (uninhabited) islands on Earth how would each group perform and behave. would both end up like in the movie Lord of the flies without any kind of parental guidance. Or do you think the Na'vi kids can manage without any guidance, parental help to recreate partially or totally their society as it is back in their homeworld.

Wow. I'm reading LOTF in english right now.
it depends on the circumstances. how old are the children? is it 2 different islands? If its a desert island, how big is the desert? and the island?

Id say both species are about the same age as in LOTF the when I say Desert I meant as in Uninhabited not that they are desert in climate, say both islands are subtropical and yes is 2 different separate islands each holding the kids of the different species.

the Na'vi children would by then already know how to hunt, but did they grow up on earth or were they transported there?

They would know how to hunt but is not just hunting, do they have the social skills to avoid a LOTF situation? The kids in the movie based on the book where all military school boys and knew how to survive in the wild but lacked the Social skills to keep it all together. |

The Na'vi would go nuts and freak without Eywa, the humans children assuming pre-mid teens in this day and age would probably just melt down without their screens and die of starvation because they don't know how to cook or hunt at all.

I think they would die from disconnection from their world.
if not, then they would not start killing eachother. unlike humans, Na'vi grow up connected with eachother. and when did the kids in LOTF become military people? i thought piggy lived with his aunt...

The Na'vi don't seem to need to connect to their world to survive as in is not like they would die if they went a long time without doing it. But still would the Na'vi kids be able to cope socially better than their human counterparts in such a situation or would they end up in a LOTF situation just the same, that's what I would like to know, because as you recall Neytiri compared the humans to children. |

Truth is we know next to nothing about the Na'vi kids development but given Neytiri's statement is obvious that they are not just a miniature version of an Adult Na'vi and that they are in the process of maturing as all species are. |
