In this society of the norm, we need abnormalities, we are human afterall we are all different, and we dont need people telling us how to become the same

Very good statement Cyan. You are exactly right. It would be sad if everyone were basically clones, with not individuality, etc. We are all different and should be respected for it. That is why I have tried to go against the "norm". I hate conformity.

Ally, I agree with you completely on everything.

I'm not willing to conform into a social ideal, because quite frankly that's not who I am. I'm not one for fashion, I don't think about things like that...I simply wear what I like, what I feel comfortable in and most of all what reflects me personally. I'm a bit weird in the terms of 'fashion sense', well in comparison to popular fashion, because I like to wear bright colours, funky patterns, crazy shoes, haha xD
But I wear all that stuff because I find it interesting, and I think it fits me personally. I'm not going to go out my way to find out what everybody else is wearing, just in order to fit in...heck, most of the time they buy all their clothes in Primark, and I refuse to go anywhere near that place.

Then, as you said, the pressure set by the media is a standard set too far. Where is the individuality? They have seemingly stripped it from women and made them into objects, not people. I mean who can look perfect all the time? (not me that's for sure xD)...What I have gathered from popular trends in beauty and style (in the area that I live) is that you have to be very thin, tanned, caked in make up, and perferably dye your hair blonde. Just...no thanks.

I'm sick to death of people following blindly every single f*cking word the celebrities, magazines and TV say about this so-called 'fashion', and so many other things in life. Creating identi-fit people with uniforms... it's all such bullsh*t that it makes me want to throw up. People telling you what 'look' is 'in', what to listen to, what to watch, how to act...

I'll wear what i damn well want to wear, dance how I want to dance, listen to whatever the f*ck I want to and won't let anyone say otherwise.

No, I don't like ke$ha or Akon. I couldn't care less who just split up in Hollywood. Don't like it? Deal with it. It's who I am. If that makes me uncool, sad, clueless, whatever you want to call it... fine. I'm the uncoolest person on the face of this Earth. I don't give a sh*t.

I am who I am.

Completely
agree. Just...everything. Agreed

It's really sad, everywhere for men they sell the same styled shirts, theres no difference, it's trademark surfer, punk style with extremely clashing colours. I'm all for colours, but those ultraviolet colours burn the eyes, they are the only thing they seem to sell, as if they expect me to conform the the norm of people who have no respect to wear what they want, it's difficult, maybe i should not wear clothes at all
