Default That stupid game called Society - And my eyes soring, too

So, I've promised myself to stay some time apart from ToS for my own health (and my eyes'); but I couldn't resist the temptation of the iTouch's Safari and checked several times a day the frontpage. So, I've finally decided to come back just today, with my usual critic to our world.

I hope I can keep my jujubes after this.

I have to say that things are changing around me; but it's not a superficial change, it's a change from the inside. From my inside, the way I see things (perhaps See?); and I just see a thing:

Arrogance.

We are the best. We are the summit of the food chain, the predators of every single living thing on Earth: all of it, to our service. It's our property, we consider it so and since it's ours; we can do with it whatever we want. We don't hesitate on being over every single animal and plant and kill them without any scruple. Even in our own species we disqualify certain groups of people, their work; and take advantage of them to feel the kings of the hill. Some owe large villas and mansions; dozens of cars and private copters. The rest work for them as long as they pay their homes and food.

The Masai don't even bury their dead ones: they don't dare to touch what they consider their Mother, what keeps them alive. We instead build large skyscrapers to demonstrate the world we're over it.

We can make a person live a century or more, making fool of death itself. We can manipulate food and animals to make them more productive, and perhaps in the future to make ourselves more productive. We live without any kind of danger in our concrete cells where we come back every single day of work.

Who are we to enact the rules of the game?

Nobody.

However, there's nobody to remind us our place either, so why to halt all this precious piece of machinery that just causes pain, misery and trouble for most of the people? Just because they don't feel comfortable?

Don't be sissy.

We, the people, those who "have to power of democracy" and the only ones who can stop what harms us, are scared. Scared of losing all these security.

The security of having a hot plate of food every day.
The security of paying regularly a house.
The security of knowing someone's above us and protects us.
The security of keeping our current lazy and dependent lifestyle.

And money. Oh money, we have a saying in Spanish "Powerful gentleman is Mr Money". I believe, it's not to free people, is to enslave people. Proof: money-based society means no money, no freedom. And you need money to make every single thing.

The so-called system has a good thing, yes. It's called painkiller: you might be suffering from an unfair treatment but you shut up with a nice shiny screen, something that completely takes your mind off your life and lets other be the protagonist for a few hours.

The rest, what's not covered by screens, stinks. Pretty much. But since we can't see it, aaaah sorry. Not my problem bro.

And what's the meaning of all this Machiavellian set up?

I have no clue.

However, I can't escape from it. I have to study to get my work done to get money to pay my house where to rest until I work and then earn the necessary to buy an insurance plan for everything to live a comfortable and no-risk life and then enjoy my freedom (my real freedom, since I have no need to care about money thanks to my insurance) with 70 years and a painful arteriosclerosis and lumbago.

By then I'd be wondering what has been of my life while a nice nurse tries to feed me with a stinky beverage.

But now, I've got no time to think about it. I have to play this game.

A game very few win.

And fewer manage to escape from.

PS: Ah, the eternal verbal diarrhea. I could be speaking the greatest of truths and everybody would be still keeping their asses on squares of this game.

It's easier said than done, they say.

Sigh, we're all lazy cowards...
