Default Gattaca.

The movie is about genetics, even the title plays with the four bases of DNA: guanine, cytosine, thymine, adenine. I just have no words for it, Vincent's story is just great. It might have won several Oscars if it hadn't been for Titanic.

Gattaca is a very good and chilling movie. I think it serves as a warning to society. Sometimes, some forms of science might be best left alone. I agree that it should have got some Oscars too. What is apparent that the movie that gets the oscars is not always the best movie of the year. In fact, it seems that more and more the best movies are ignored or snubbed by the academy. They are so out of touch. Granted, Titanic was a good movie. It obviously was going to get the oscar that year but was it necessarily the best?? That remains to be seen.

I'm so glad someone brought up this masterpiece of a film. It is a true classic that carries a lot of important messages and is an extremely touching piece of cinema.

As for what rapunzel said, I fully agree. But as we all know by now, the number of oscars a film has does not equate to the quality of the film in any way, shape or form.

Was that the one with someone quite famous in a wheelchair for part of it? I wanted to watch it when it was on TV recently but my attention strayed...

Yes, it was Jude Law.

You really must watch it, it's a truly excellent film.

Superb story - excellent use of science too. True science fiction. A rare thing these days.

One of my all time favourite movies. Too bad it's such a little known movie, because it surely deserves more credit than it's given. This is usually the case with all underrated movies and series, that only have a small devoted fanbase, but are unknown to the general public.
