So what can we learn from this? We can learn that if you make the ultimate self-sacrifice for the safety and security of others, 33% of the time it will work in your favour as well

You can't act like you knew all those people who died! They might have been portrayed as cardboard cut-outs, but IRL no one is cardboard-evil. If there isn't some covert scene where they're all eating babies or something which I missed when I saw the movie several times, then I'm forced to assume they're more three dimensional than "Oh, he likes to kill, there's nothing else to it.". I don't know why, it could be that I'm just used to people more than meets the eye. You're really judging a book by it's cover.
I'd like to state once again I'm taking a freaking movie WAAAY to seriously but it seems everyone except PunkMaiser think they know everything about a group of "people" (characters >.>) just by observing them at work through the eyes of their "enemies".

I agree with you- Because you don't know anything about their past, their family, their worries, their flaws or their beliefs, it's impossible to pass judgement on their character.
Also, on this forum, you definitely can't take Avatar too seriously. Welcome, ma tsmukan
