Never been there either. I've heard it's fairly dangerous, although I guess it probably isn't as bad as it sounds from the news and other people.

Are we going to be keeping this within the UK or are we thinking of taking this abroad? It can be pretty cheap to get across to Europe these days...
As much as i'd absolutely love to go to Spain or wherever, it's just the money factor that's the issue.

Hey, I just got the answer from a summer school which I applied for and the answer was positive, so I can take part.
It will be the last two weeks of July and it takes place in London. So I don't know about the program yet, but I hope that I will have some spare time, so that I can meet you.

So it looks like the last two weeks of July then... now all we have to decide is the location. As we have already suggested, going outside the UK would be a little expensive for us Brits so any suggestions as to where we might go within the UK?

I am not sure if I can make it in that time. I going on a medieval reenactment from 12-19 July, so I am not sure if I can take another vacation at my job right after that. But I could not come more than 1 week anyways, so if you take the two weeks, I may be able to join in for some time later.

Oh no, i just got the program of my summer school and it says that we have to stay there even on the weekends.
So, although I will be in London the last two weeks of July I won't be able to go camping or something else. And London is just the middle part of the course, so there are two weeks before and two weeks after on the continent. Damn. The only possibility would be to meet in London for an evening. I don't know how far you guys live from London? Damn again!!! That would have been so cool to meet some of you.

Dang that sucks. Well I believe HNM and Cyan still live a reasonable distance from London and I can come up there to visit family for a couple of days too. I suppose we could still meet up for a night then?
