Default What do you do against your boredom ?

Unluckily I'm bored way too often, which is the case right now and don't know what to do with myself ..

Any suggestions to kill boredom / What do you do when you are bored (but from watching Avatar ) ?

I put some good music on and dance, but that depends on where you are...

Good music, or a walk!

Music would be a good idea , but since I'm at home with my parents asleep at 2 o clock in the night , turning up my music wouldn't be a too good idea right now .

Well, I don't know if this is possible where you live, but I like to go for hikes in the woods next to my house. So, if you can, that's what I suggest. Also, I love going for bike rides. So I suggest that too.

Also what Sight suggests, music and/or a walk. Just go outside and enjoy the fresh air, the trees, the birds, everything. That's what I do, anyway.

Now that the weather is nice, a good way to kill boredom is to go out for a walk. Or go someplace scenic and relax / take pics.

I jump to a random wikipedia article and start reading. I've learned a lot that way.

I like to reflect in hours of boredom, than I just finish my business of other days, like I'm doing right now .

I'm finishing next week's homework, I got to keep busy somehow.

But if you ain't in the mood to work, I suggest drawing (stick figures or anything) and listen to techno/trance, take your pick with headphones (if you got them). If that's not possible, try to do something new and see how you like it. Me, I never read books because the last book I read scared the living bejesus out of me. I'm afraid to pick up another book for private reading, but I would be willing to do it just for the sake of building my vocabulary (which I need to do, desperately).

Don't got a book? Find PDF Adobe reader files somewhere on the interwebs.

Bah boredom, I don't even consider boredom to be a bad thing since it gives me time to think..
Ever read Thoreau's work? He advises just going for walks and letting your mind run with creativity and ideas..
So I don't really get "bored". The best thing to do is to realise that in our society with all of our instant entertainment that being bored is seen as a bad thing..It isn't really.

When I'm bored I either:
-play my PS3
-play my guitar
-go for a walk/run/bike ride
-watch recorded stuff on cable TV
-come to this forum or Avatar forums
