Here's one I took when I was out walking the other day...

The big fern reminded me a lot of Pandora.
(Sorry about the horrible camera quality by the way...)

And here's another one.

Just... no

Earth has some nice places, sure, but tawtute will destroy them given the chance, and Pandora... everything I've seen is better... at night, there is truly nothing like it in existence

if it were not for man's careless and constant destruction, Earth would surely rival Pandora for natural beauty!

This. Cameron got the inspiration from somewhere, didn't he?
To put my beliefs in simple format: If Earth was a human, I'd be in love.

See, this is why you filled to the brim with my respect.

And come on. Every animal that's ever lived has relied on another organism. We aren't evil. We aren't monsters. We're alive, and that's how things are in the universe.

And may I say that Pandora is the product of someone's mind. And that Cameron's a perfectionist. Of course it's perfect.

Back on topic, here's a little slice of paradise.

True, though when it comes to the bipedal, sentient species that inhabit both planets, I'd still take the Na'vi over humans. We're given this beautiful world, where everyday can be a fulfilling adventure, and what do we do with it? Level it to build office buildings, fast food resturaunts, and big box stores, and then fill them with emotionally numbed wage slaves and consumers.

Yeah, give me the Na'vi any day.

I mean, these photos inspire me, but they also piss me off to no end. Because I'm sure there is some rich prick out there who sees pictures like these and drools about how they could exploit it.

"Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off." - Tyler Durden

Exactly... (minus the 'true' )

The Na'vi can appreciate what they have. Here, ayskxawng look at a beautiful place and think 'hmm, I could build a nice car park there' or 'I wonder if there is anything we could mine' or 'hmm, we could build a big dam there' at that waterfall...

I love this thread. Every night when I want to dream about Pandora... I look here first. It allows me to think of the beauty that is Earth.
