Nice List, Tsamsiyu.
Obviously, I have done one at a time because I enjoy writing about why I like certain characters. Off the ones you mention, I would certainly get round to seven of nine and perhaps Danna Scully. I may still do my own analysis if someone else doesn't do one first. I also know Janeway and Lisa well. And I recogise Beatrix and Xena as great characters, although I rarely watched Xena and have never seen Kill Bill. They are not on my personal favourites. But I would be interested in hearing others explain why they admire these characters. Although the wiki's give some factual information, it is nice to hear the passion form a true fan expressing their personal opinion. Of the characters I don't know, Gabriella looks the most interesting to me. |

Kathryn Janeway is probably my favourite female lead. She has this quality about her that just makes her amazing. Granted she isn't hot like Seven is hot but that doesn't matter. I will always remember one of the first episodes where she was still a bit distant from her crew and she joined them to play billiards or pool or whatever. She said she was a total n00b but then pocketed loadsa balls in one go. She has hidden talent which is so mysterious and is what draws me to her as a character

Eowyn - Lord of the Rings
"Courage Merry. Courage for out friends." http://becandcall.typepad.com/photos...7/27/eowyn.jpg Eowyn is one of the most endearing female characters in modern fiction. In Lotr, she is the only female who does any fighting. But she is alos extremely effective, In the movie she brings down at least one elephant type creature (sorry don't know what they are called) and kills the Witch King. Eowyn represents the true heroine. She fights for the right reasons. Not because she wants to fight, but to defend those who she loves. Also, she seems to spend the whole period before and after combat in abject terror. This only shows the extent of her courage. After all, a true heroine is not someone who has no fear, but someone who overcomes their fear to do what is right. And Eowyn meets that definition to perfection. Astrid, from HTTYD(2). She's the only example of the "geeky guy trying to impress cool girl" trope who's actually worth impressing.

after watching all three X-Men Sequels, First Class, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse, i am adding Raven Darkholme/Mystique to my greatest female characters list. i was kinda meh on the Mystique from the early three X-Men films, but the Jennifer Lawrence portrayed Raven/Mystique of the sequels was much more nuanced, emotional, and the perfection of duality in being drawn to both Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr, polar opposites of the mutant cause. i am hoping we see JLAW play Mystique one more time in a standalone Mystique film. that would be awesome!
