Well when i first heard about the fact that he might exploit the possibly og going to some of the other moons i was abit disappointed.. so anything than that really :s

While i did love the first avatar movie, i think it will be hard to surpass it really...

We all have confidence in JC's ability to create fantastic sequels, but he will really have to out shine himself this time in order to make my jaw drop to the floor...

No cheap resurrections! He better have a really good reason if Quaritch and Grace return from the dead... It reminds me of Star Wars Expanded Universe. Galaxy to Emperor Palpatine: Please stay dead! I just feel like if you're going to make a film that has such an emotional impact on people (especially from characters dying), cheapening death by bringing characters back runs counter to the goal of the film.

I think that Grace could actually be resurrected if for a very good reason (for example a threat to life itself on Pandora: Eywa could send her back to aid Jake, Neytiri and all the others against their enemy). About Quaritch, the RDA should have an even more good reason to resurrect him, while they have hundreds of high-grade officiers that can take his place.

However, I agree with you Sovereign: the plot of Avatar 2 must not be rushed or taken lightly in any way.

Perhaps Grace will be like an "Obi-Wan" to Jake? That requires the voice/actor but isn't a full resurrection.

@Sovereign: It can be, yes. This though implies that Jake, while connecting to Eywa through the Tree of Souls, enters some kind of virtual/parallel reality where he can actually talk to Grace. I don't like this idea so much...

i want to see more creatures! and sealife! and do want more characters (and some eyecandy is always appreciated )

it would be very nice if we also get to know abit more about na'vi history, the songs, the tales that all na'vi know, about the times of great sorrow and the first Toruk Makto etc. Na'vi Legends and hunting stories. and about the origins of eywa, a bit more about her. ^_^

I really hope JC carries on delving into the world of Pandora and her fauna and flora a lot more and the customs and culture of the Na'vi. I would be a little upset if Avatar 2 turned out to be an all-out action film... That's not to say I wouldn't go and see it, I just prefered the slower parts of Avatar rather than the 'third act' battle scene.

I have individual favourite scenes from the final part (THIS IS OUR LAND, and I See You right near the end...), but my favourite entire part is the 'Becoming One Of The People' one... I wish that part was longer

The humans are all but extinct by the second film anyway so it will probably just be a documentary on Pandora and for that I have the Discovery channel so there.

I'm basing it on Jake's own words plus the few pictures of Earth etc and like everybody else here ignoring the cloning of Earth's Animals and plants and so on. When you add all that up = Humans are extinct by sequel, period.

Remember how Grace just left her Avatar at the Tree of Souls? They don't die when unoccupied, so assuming Grace can't come back, who might need Grace's avatar?

Also, there were five Toruk Makto before Jake. What great perils threatened all Na'vi, to require those great heroes? Have they been invaded before? Did some Na'vi go Blind and start conquering?

And of course, let's see more of Pandora! We barely glimpsed the sea coasts and plains, and I'm sure there's landscapes we've never met.
