Default Armageddon.

I just finished watching Armageddon for the first time. I know I'm late to the party with seeing this movie, it's just that I never really got around to watching it, I've always wanted to just never did.

I watched it because it was part of an assignment for my Physical Geography class.

I have to say it was a great movie, there were some pretty far-fetched scenes and stunts, but hey, it's a movie, it was enjoyable. As the movie was nearing its end, I totally lost it, it was just too much, I'm sure those of you know who have seen the movie know what scene(s) I'm talking about.

All in all, I really enjoyed watching it and I will be buying it on Blu-Ray in the future.

For all those who haven't seen Armageddon, I would highly recommend watching it.

It's one of my favourite movies, in my top 3 before Avatar. Sure the science isnt always correct in the movie but it's hell bit of entertainment. You can almost shed a tear at the end, it gets quite emotional.
I also highly recommend this movie. Rating: 9/10

Yeah, it's one of the few movies I shed a tear over. Science sucked, but the characters were memorable, the action was good, and it had a lot of heart.

Funny you should bring this movie up. It is the only other DVD I have for my new Blu-Ray player. Before Avatar came out I was watching it on my new player to test it.

It is a really great movie. I love the characters and also the fact that a cataclysmic asteroid impact is actually very possible (not that I want it to happen but it could happen).

A movie that most think is idiotic, flimsy, and outright insulting to people's intelligence...

...And yet I find so many others around here who liked it. I loved it too. My sister refuses to see it because she saw about 5 minutes of it and thought it pretty dumb...

...But then, she saw about 30 minutes of "Batman Begins" and thought it boring and stupid as well. I finally made her sit down to watch it in its entirety (after much arguing), and she immediately adored it so much she ended up liking it more than me.

So yes... I will be persistent with coaxing my sister to watch it.

haha I remember back when it first came out people were hating on it big time, because it was by Michael Bay and kept comparing it to Deep Impact. Its one of my all time favorites movies though. The music is beautiful and Bruce Willis is always awesome.

Armageddon is a truly epic movie from its cast to its concept. Given it's not a "great" movie that should have been lined up for Oscar by any means, but it's extremely entertainment and that's what counts.
