Default A very Avatar Day.

Well today after school everything thing was Avatar for me. Some good some bad. Here's how it goes.

Last night was my second viewing at home and it was perfect but that's another story. Today started out like every other day with alarm, snooze, alarm, school and afterwords is where it changed.

I was planning a trip to "Books A Million" which is a big bookstore about 30 miles from home to get the last two books in the Pendragon series which I started reading again. Well, I'm walking around the store because they totally rearranged everything and I just randomly walk down this aisle and something catches my eye...No..It can't be...Something Avatar related? YES! SCORE!!

Needless to say I bought it and finally found my 2 Pendragon books but was far more happy with the book on Avatar which I will show you why in a moment

The next thing was I was getting my dad a Birthday Card and in front of the card aisle was the movie poster stand and there was a store person sorting through them and I thought what the heck so I strolled up to him and asked "Do you have any Avatar posters?" He started digging, and digging and kept digging. I just about lost hope when he looked in the ones he was taking out because they were putting in newer ones and he handed me one and said it was the last one he had So feeling lucky I bought it along with the B-day card and went home with my purchases.

I get home and to my surprise it turns out my dad is having a party. Again I was shocked but never the less happy for him. Till he wants to watch Avatar. My uncles, aunts, little cousins were over and I new it was totally butcher any hope of a good viewing for me. I almost said I couldn't find (because it was up in my room) so I wouldn't have to hear them scrutinize, make fun of, and laugh at the film. But, it was his B-day so I got it and put it in. I tried to avoid watching the move as much as possible. I did all the cooking out on the grill. I fed the dog, stayed outside with the grill for the first 30 minutes because I didn't want them to ruin it for me.

Well I had to come in sometime. I get the food open the door and the first thing I hear is "10 foot smurfs" at the part where Jake is first trying out is Avatar body. This hurt me bad because it came from my oldest cousin who is only 14 but he and his little brother were the only ones I took to see the movie in theaters other than my dad. After that I couldn't watch the movie because everyone was always asking stupid questions like after Jake shot the animal before he climbed Iknimaya my aunt asked "Do they eat those?" I just about shouted "No they use it for a parachute to jump off of Hometree with!" But I didn't, I just reading my book. That's all I could do was read my book, I didn't want to walk out on the party and I couldn't watch it because everyone talking and making noises just ruins movies for me, especially Avatar. My uncle is really bad about watching a movie and asking things like:Whats going to happen next? Whats he doing that for? Who is he? And I don't understand how you can watch a movie and totally forget what is going on. I have told him many times to just watch the movie and everything will be explained but no. Doesn't help. Thats why I just read my book and kept silent.

Anytime anyone asked a question and I answered they just looked at me like I was from a different planet. I felt like I was to because they didn't see the movie the way we did and I feel sorry for them but yet are somewhat angry that they being the closest people I know couldn't relate to the movie as I could, it hurt so much that I almost cried.

Afterwords and everyone left my dad came up to me and rubbed my shoulder and afterwords I think he knew why. He saw what I was doing by reading my book and being silent because he really loved Avatar as a great move and saw most of what it signified and also didn't like how the other people treated the film and new that I didn't want any part of it.

Well after the move I came up here, hung my poster and looked through my book. I was amazed with what I found. I think you will see why. The most beautiful artwork I have seen, all of it about Avatar, how its characters were created, how they designed Pandora, the creatures, the machines, just everything. I was blown away. Every page out of the 108 has a gorgeous drawing, painting, CG picture, or something having to do with Avatar. I would have taken pictures of all 108 pages for you guys but I couldn't so here is what I managed to get.

And a beautiful last page.
