Thumbs up The Elements of Life

An unbelievably powerful explosion launched the expansion of the universe some 15 billion years ago...

The big bang laid the foundations for the 1st atoms, the 1st elements, the 1st organisms, the 1st life. The foundation of the world...

Our world went on to develop gradually in the years that followed. It progressed from the evolution of organisms to the evolution of life and indeed human kind...

As the human race developed, people discovered the world, the continents, divided them into countries, states, cities, streets. They created infrastructures, energy sources, industries and of course a wide range of technology...

These developments succeeded each other at an even faster pace year after year. Technology began to evolve more aggressively than people could handle physically, but above all mentally. This evolution has created a world in which people are growing apart rather than coming together. This path does not lead us to the true meaning of our existence, so we have to traverse the force and make our way back to the essence of life...

There is only one way to discover the essence of our lives, to gather knowledge about the core elements that make life possible. That’s why it is imperative to learn about the existence and the function of the elements. These components are better known as the elements of life...

A living being that is the direct proof of the cohesion of the elements will be our guide along the elements. He will ensure a three dimensional experience by using a specialized form of communication that he has evolved himself…

MUSIC

Get ready for a trip through the indefinable places and secrets that his world has in store for us…

Here is Tiesto

Haha I was about to say your title reminded me of a Tiesto album!
Ten seconds before sunrise and Bright Morningstar are my favourites from that album.
Oh sorry for the off topic post.

not really off topic tsmukan. I made this topic because this speech spoke to me. Especially the part that I bolded. I know some people feel Tiesto is too mainstream, but not me. I love everything he does. If those lyrics are how he really feels, then wow, his music is that much more special to me.

I don't believe in technological regression as a means to solve our moving apart. I just believe that people should take the perspective we do. Tech is awesome, but the environment and relationships are more important. If technology can enhance the environment, or enhance our relationships with one another as humans (EX. ToS, the IRC, phones, skype) then all the more better. But as soon as it gets in the way, or becomes an instrument of hate, then it becomes the enemy.

I love rationality when I see it. Perfect summation, and I agree.

Tech is fun. BUT. It's the "but" that is important to remember. WE rule tech. Not otherwise.

I must seek this Tiesto.

Doggone music nerds. They get me every time.

Here is a little bit of his bio...

DJ Tiesto Biography

Born: January 17, 1969 in Breda, The Netherlands
Years Active: 90 's, 00's
Genre: ELEC

Highly regarded by both DJ Magazine and ultra-loyal fans, DJ Tiësto, due in part to his legendary six-hour, energetic live sets, has been elevated to mythical status as one of the world's foremost trance DJs. A native of Breda, Netherlands (born Tijs Verwest on January 17, 1969), Tiësto first starting playing out at a well-known club in his hometown called the Sprock. Discovered there by the GM of Rotterdam-based Basic Beat Recordings, Tiësto released his first of five mix CDs as a part of the label's Forbidden Paradise series.

I wouldn't say he's mainstream either. His music is unique to him and is a different kind of trance than what I think mainstream trance is (I could be wrong though, I havnt listened to much trance/dance artists for years).
I always get the sense that there's a deeper meaning in his music, that he's not just making music for the sake of getting profit but there's a story within what he writes and I respect that.

Interating post brother. I think you may be right about his style being different. Take for instance another very well known Trance DJ/Producer Armin Van Buuren. While I like his music, I prefer Tiesto's more up tempo trance over Armin's. I feel Armin plays more of the traditional Trance sounds.

Just look at the fun Tiesto has when he's DJ'n. It's got to mean more to him than just another HUGE check lol

You could say Armin's music is a bit more conservative than Tiesto, staying within the realms of trance/electronica while Tiesto prefers to literally mix it up a bit, throw in some new sound that trance listeners haven't heard of, there's always something new in his tracks.

Haha yeah the rather big cheque he gets would probably be for the awesome (and not to mention utterly massive) concerts he puts on. Anyone with huge DJ decks has got to have some pocket change lol

Tiesto is also with Dance4Life, "Start dancing, stop AIDS. Dance4Life" is their motto... you can read about it Here. But I also love Armin Van Burren as well, he's an amazing DJ, him and Tiesto have different ways of playing, and same would go for Above and Beyond.

And the big checks? Yea, to pay for those Pioneer turntables, touch screen mixers (crazy expensive), equipment, ect. But hey, how else did all those thousands of fans get in the building or get a hold of an actual hard copy cd?

And Tiesto was the first DJ to perform at the Olympic Games... whaaaaat?
