Default Pandoran Environments

So we all know that Pandora has a jungle/forest like environment. We've also seen coastal and plains environments. But is that the majority of the planet?

I would like to see some other types of environment. If Pandora behaves as Earth, it is likely that there are poles and, so, areas of colder weather like our North and South poles. It would be interesting to see the way the Na'vi interact with different environments like snow or plains. I would love to see a tribe that lives in the Northern parts of Pandora, and see what differences they have with the Omaticaya. Of course, we have to see more of the Omaticaya in their habitat first

the Avatar game has a map of Pandora and there seems to be polar icecaps. If na'vi do live there they probably have more clothing and maybe they ride bad ass beasts with fur or something the snow thanator, a thanaotr but with thick fur XD there probably is also tundra which would be between the jungles and the icecaps

That would be nice... the Jake's clean killing scene contains a rain similar to our Earth rains, I think the natural phenomenons are also other than only rain. The fauna and flora must be very-very various and Grace's book on Pandoran biology or planet deep descriptions might be the answer to anything. In the album of Avatar movie few species of plants and animals appear on paper but not in the movie, probably we will see them in the second Avatar movie.

There are polar areas which would probably be tundra, and plains as well as the forest, but no obviously visible deserts.

Good. I think it it was living in the desert that made some humans go Blind.

Sky people cannot learn you do not see!

Nah jokes... well I read somewhere that most of Pandora's surface is jungle environment but I believe there are some amazing icy polar areas on the poles as well. The way I see it, sequel will take place in the oceans and the third Avatar will be all snow and magical peaks and stuff.

The majority of Pandora is of jungle/rainforest with pockets of plains. Unlike Earth, the ratio of land mass to water mass is higher than Earth's, with mainlands being the majority on Pandora.

There are also ice caps on Pandora, which means than jungle/rainforests dont exist near the poles, as the climate there should be more boreal like the climate around Northern Russia or Alaska, but that's just an educated guess.
