The Day After I Saw Avatar
I know this post is very general and you've all heard stories like these many times, but I figured I'd share it.
I saw Avatar for the first time on DVD in April while sleeping over a friend's house. When I got back to my house the next morning, life just felt weird. I pretty much did yard work that whole day and noticed my neighbors burning huge piles of brush in the distance, billowing huge plumes of smoke and ash. This reminded me of when the humans were incinerating the forest in Avatar, and dire horses were running by on fire.

Exactly. Avatar changed you in a way you are more sensitible to those things, you can see things you just ignored before. Did the same with me.

That was a very powerful scene, so I can understand what you mean and I don't really blame you for being upset.
It really irks me when I see people blatantly not caring for our environment and people, and just being selfish and looking out for themselves.
