The most important thing is to read Na'vi properly.
I recomend you open this while reading this course: http://www.learnnavi.org/navi-phonetics/ Look at the first table. You can check how to pronounce vowels there, with English word examples. Remember: It is you who want to interpret the Na'vi language. In many cases you will learn that there are no strict rules about the language. It is up to you how will you learn the language. Just make sure people will understand what do you want to tell them. There is no person that speaks English perfectly, even English people. Don't try to learn Na'vi perfectly. Now try to read this: irayo Thank you (Thank you - as in translation of the word, not thank you for reading ) It's difficult to explain how should you read it. I'll try to record myself speaking some words as an example. Px Kx Tx Those are ejective consonants. That means, that you don't read the "x" part. The "x" only tells you that you should cut the air here, and eject the consonant before it (as you would try to spit). Therefor Kaltxi would be Kalt-i Again, do not read "i" as an "eye". It's an "i", like in "iglo". Try to check out the examples in lesson 1 and read them: Kaltxì, ma smuk, Eywa ngahu irayo Make sure you check how to read: ì, ng, tx UPDATE: I've mistaken ì and i in irayo and Kaltxì, thanks to mikkowilson, who did those mistakes all the time I think I remembered it that way... sorry for those mistakes. Please check the vocabulary on http://www.learnnavi.org/navi-vocabulary/ from time to time to check out some words you might be interested in.
