I am happy that the situation was resolved peacefully in the end. I just cant post in AF anymore. I get lost in the theme...and it doesnt remind me of AVATAR anymore more like a gaming forum.

I love both forums, the Avatar-Forums and the Tree of Souls... I love the Avatar Forums because its where it all began, where I met a lot of my close friends and was able to See even more clearly with others who I now know as my second family, but unfortunately things were changing, some for better and some for worse, worse was ahead though. The Tree of Souls is almost like a new start, bringing it back to the roots for me of when it began... I'm glad to see peace between these two communities

Honestly I think that the best way to solve this would to just ignore the past and go back, the forums aren't the same without all of you guys, and really AF isn't the cesspool of hatred some of you make it out to be, it still has plenty of great people.

It's difficult going to a place that is no longer what it used to be one month ago. Besides, I'm still on both AF and ToS just as much as I used to be. There's no splitting me from either forum.

Whats difficult is being away from AF for a week because of personal problems and coming back to people splitting up and having people dear to me leave. Yeah sure there's an "Alliance" but I am having a very hard time figuring out why you would want to leave AF. This Tos can never be a home to me.

We're never going to 'go back' - there were reasons we had to do this. We've come way too far now, and have achieved an amazing amount in such a short time.
To many people here, including me, AF just isn't the site it used to be. I'm sure you remember the atmosphere it had, something that made it far more than a forum. Look at it now, and can you honestly say it still retains that special quality? I can't.

I haven't spoken much about the split and the alliance as it really wasn't my place to.

Firstly because I didn't get to read everything that happened as it was quite often removed before I got the chance to see, though what I did see, I noticed may have been less antagonising had 'both' sides taken an hour or two to respond.
In saying that I quite agree that the original skin was more to my liking, and that congrats, the TOS picture at the top is stunning visually.
The AF top picture I don't mind that much, the current one is my favourite with all the character's faces, unfortunately the download of the page takes much longer on my page now.

Secondly, I wasn't involved in any arguments or personal attacks by anyone so I cannot say how I would have reacted had my anger risen. I believe many people feel very insulted and put off by the events of the past ten or so days, and I commend everybodys actions in standing by their convictions and starting a new forum, putting their words into actions as it were, I tip my hat to you guys.

I still will support AF because there are many wonderful people on that forum, the 'night of the trolls' on oscar night was something we got past, and I am glad that there is a reconcilliation of sorts, after the ramifications from the updating of the AF server.
I wish also to support TOS because, as I posted on Af, I miss posting with many incredible people from around the world and hearing each person's views that are no longer there, even if we don't all agree about everything.

This is only real early days in the life of a shared dedication on forums, to a brilliant movie that has touched all of us and is only at the start of it's long life. I hope whatever the future brings that we can move past any obsticles that may confront us. I can remember when I first joined early January, it was the media giving us a hard time as well. Anyway I've had my two cents on what limited knowledge I have on the subject and really hope that we stick together through all this and come out the other side much stronger for it.
For I'll be seeing all of you no matter where you are.

The Forums may have changed how they looked and more hostile people may have joined but there still are people there who are my online family and more and more keep joining and adding to that.

Glad this forum is here. AF was fantastic, but too much changed too quickly. I'm indifferent to the "behind the scenes" stuff. Suffice it to say, the mix of the people (prior to the crap explosion), the look and the feel of the original AF is here, and that's what I like.
