I didn't even know there is some Avatar movie, didn't see any trailer. The hype and premiere was in the time when I was in the middle of my exams, so I have no mood for any movies at all. My mum wanted to see it in the IMAX in February and I had strong doubts about the quality, as I usually have about movies anyway... But after leaving cinema I was sure this is the best I ever seen an probably will ever see, it was so much emotionally intensive and visually stunning... So in my case it really doesn't matter how successfull the movie was/is in the ratings.
The same day in the evening I started to search if there is something more about the movie on the internet and found AF and few weeks later I found ToS .

So what would I miss in the case I hadn't ever seen the movie? At first I would never know about this amazing group of people here, even thinking about this possibility sounds bad now . And of course I wouldn't experience Avatar, and that means I wouldn't be so open to the themes it introduced than I am now.
