Yeah, -core doesn't ALWAYS mean bad, I know one guy IRL who likes real classic hardcore, he hates all the crap with breakdowna. Generally these days though, thinking of -core will make people think metalcore, breakdowns everywhere, stuff like Trivium... (do not want)

Also, Blind Guardian and Wintersun == WIN

I listen to a very wide variety, from power metal to melodic death metal, folk metal to thrash metal and viking metal to symphonic metal, I'm just not that much of a fan of metalcore. Don't get me wrong, there's lot I dislike more, but I wouldn't choose to listen to it.
