Default Dream I had last night...

Don't worry, It's not an uber scary one like the last one I had.
This one was more peaceful, and felt really weird at the same time.
Well I'll get to the point:

I woke up on a big rock which was in the middle of a lake, and all around me I could see the beach which then instantly to tropical rain forest, I stepped off the rock to find the water was actually very shallow! It didn't even come up to my knee, but the most amazing thing about this wasn't the dream itself but some way, some how, I was actually AWARE that I was dreaming... I could actually think about things in the dream, what I wanted, where I wanted to go and how I wanted to explore this random dream world my head seems to have created, so of course I walked out of the lake onto the sandy beach and then went into the rain forest.... That's where it ended. So unhappy that it was only that long...

Now someone please tell me, was I doing what I think I was doing?! Was I lucid in that dream?

It happened to me a few times that I was aware of being dreaming, but once I started to change things around me, I woke up very soon after that, but I could let the dream flow and have it last longer.
Once I get home, I need to write down another awesome weird dream I had tonight, with pictures hopefully!

Maybe. Don't think I'd mind it to be honest! I'd probably come back home looking like a sizzled sausage but still!

Yeah mine ended pretty quick too, just as I was starting to explore, My last thought was seeing if I could fly and then bam.. Woke up.

I had exactly the same problem Marley. Waking up when you try to do something big.

I think maybe you wake up because you're trying too much too soon. Perhaps only changing small things (If you manage to achieve this again) would be better and achieve better results.

Yeah, it sounds like lucid dreaming. That has happened to me on occasion. Back when I was in HS, I had a dream in which I was sucked up into a tornado and I remember being aware that I was dreaming. In fact, in my dream it felt like I was having an "out of body" experience because I was aware that my body was on the ground and that I was up in the air. Since I was aware that I was dreaming, I decided to "will" myself back into my body so I wouldn't die. It was a very bizarre dream....

I don't have lucid dreams. I just imagine things e.g daydreaming.
