Default Fireworks?

I guess this is more for the US members, but if any international members do so with their respective holidays, they might apply as well.

So who likes to use fireworks on the 4th of July? I've been to Wisconsin a few times in the last month and each time I brought back a few bags of the good stuff (Illinois is a state of tight asses, so all you can get here are smoke and sparklers). It's gonna be a good independence day.

My family never bought fireworks. However, we would sometimes go to fireworks shows for the 4th of July. I have seen some pretty ones on the river here but the most spectacular to me was last year when I was in Buffalo. We were at a park on a hill overlooking the city. Everywhere you saw fireworks going off, both professional and amateur. The weird thing was that there was also fireworks going off in Canada. Perhaps some US citizens were firing them off? Anyway, this year, I'm not sure what we are going to do for the 4th. We haven't decided yet.

Back when I lived in Florida fireworks were a huge deal on the 4th of July. Usually a group of friends would get together to go see the show performed by the city and when that was over we would go back to another persons house to make our own fireworks show. No wimpy stuff either: usually mortars, giant rolls of black cats, and other good stuff. Even up here in Alaska fireworks are easy to buy, but are illegal to set off in most places. So unless you live waaaayyy out in the middle of nowhere, no fireworks allowed

Hehehehehe great topic!

I love fireworks! I always blow money on them each year and even though im in city limits ill set most of them off on the 4th and just be discrete about it or Ill be good and go out of city limits LMAO!

Ofcourse its always tradition to save a good bit of them and use them for fun throughout the year until the next 4th of july I actually am making another run for some bigger stuff this weekend! Gotta love fireworks!

I FRIGGIN' love them!

In a small city I use to visit on summer, San Sebastian, there's what they call "The Great Week", when all the streets are crowded and at night the beach is lighted by the fireworks coming from all parts of Spain. Valencia's are simply outstanding, hence they leave them for the last days.

It's not as good as 4th July.

It's BETTER

I used to LOVE fireworks, but then I got tired of spending the money. Also, there's the whole pollution thing...but whatever.

We have fireworks every year. On the third we buy our own. Mortars, rockets, basically anything that's good at the store and we have a blast lighting them off at home. Then on the 4th we go to the towns fireworks show. Its pretty good for a really small town, but since there are no big buildings you can also see the shows from every town within 30 miles. We park our trucks on the side of the road next to the launch lot and sit on the back in lawn chairs. Its good family fun.
